TideProofRISE WITH IT

Confidence, not overwhelm

Can I choose not to use AI for some things?

TideProof editorial guide · Reviewed 2026-09-14

Yes. Thoughtful adoption includes deciding where AI does not serve your purpose. You might welcome help organizing notes but prefer to write a personal message yourself. Using a tool selectively is different from refusing to understand it.

Consider what you value in the activity: accuracy, privacy, learning, connection, speed, or personal expression. Then decide whether assistance supports that value. Public research finds a strong desire for more control over AI use. Building your own boundaries is a practical part of becoming confident with the technology.
