Why does permission matter if AI is only helping?

TideProof editorial guide · Reviewed 2026-09-14

Helpful intentions do not answer every question about how information may be used. A person may share details for one purpose without expecting them to be entered into another service. Clear permission helps people understand the use and make meaningful choices.

Think about the information, the task, and who may be affected. If you are working with someone else's material, explain the intended use or choose an example that does not require it. The aim is not to make useful work harder. It is to make that work dependable and respectful.
