Artificial intelligence is a broad name for computer systems designed to perform tasks such as recognizing patterns, making predictions, understanding requests, or generating material. You may encounter it in a translation tool, a recommendation system, or an assistant that helps draft a message.
Different systems do different jobs. Rather than asking whether AI is good at everything, ask what a particular tool is designed to do and how you would check its result. Start with a familiar task, where your own knowledge can help you judge whether the assistance is useful.
