A prompt is the request or information you give an AI system. It does not need to sound technical. A clear prompt usually explains what you want, provides relevant context, and describes any important limits or the format you would find useful.
For example, ask for three ways to explain a schedule change to customers in friendly language, using the facts you supply. That is more helpful than simply asking for better writing. Think of prompting as giving a sensible brief, then checking whether the result follows it.
