Should my business start with an AI agent?

TideProof editorial guide · Reviewed 2026-09-14

Not necessarily. If a draft or suggestion is enough, a simpler tool may be easier to evaluate. An agent that takes actions across systems introduces additional questions about permissions, supervision, and what happens when a step goes wrong.

Start by describing the work without naming a technology. Identify which steps require access to other systems and which could affect customers or records. Test the smallest useful part first. If you later consider an agent, define its limits and review points before giving it the ability to act.
