Understanding the tide

Why do some employers move faster on AI than others?

TideProof editorial guide · Reviewed 2026-09-14

Employers differ in their work, resources, information requirements, customer needs, and ability to change existing systems. A tool that fits one organization may be unsuitable for another. Clear leadership and useful training also affect whether people can put a technology to work.

Gallup's research highlights the importance of practical guidance, not just access to tools. If your workplace is moving slowly, ask which problems it is trying to solve and what preparation would be useful. Learning the context can be more productive than assuming faster adoption is always better.
