How can I tell if my learning is paying off?

TideProof editorial guide · Reviewed 2026-09-14

Look for changes in what you can do, not just how much material you have watched. You might complete a task more clearly, spot an error sooner, ask a better question, or explain your experience with more confidence. Small practical improvements count.

Choose one task and keep a before-and-after example. Note the time involved, the corrections needed, and whether the result was actually useful. If nothing improves, change the approach rather than blaming yourself. Learning is an experiment, and finding out that a particular tool is not helpful is useful information too.
